About Us at Truprint Media
Offering the best design and Print combined together
Truprint Media have almost 4 decades of experience when it comes to print.
Established in 1982 on the laundry road industrial estate in Minster Kent as Truprint Litho Ltd offering conventional litho printing.
With rapid growth the business soon outgrew its current location and moved to Ethelbert square Westgate where it also acquired Nordic Press calendar publisher and printer.
Early 1990’s Truprint Litho would take over its sister company based in London Trucolour printing along with its printing presses, finishing equipment and staff. A much larger factory was required and Truprint Litho soon moved to its current location on the Westwood Industrial Estate Margate. Now able to offer the complete printing service, with an in-house graphic design studio, print factory and finishing department.
£250,000 was invested in 2014 with a new high speed B2 5 colour Komori ,Studio RIP Workflow and Press Profiler package which examines digital files received generates ink key pre-setting data direct to the press. This has significantly reduced set up times by 50 to 70% With the new press running from 6am to 7pm and capable of producing over 800,000 A5 leaflets per a shift.
In 2015 with the addition of 3 Konica Minolta digital presses Truprint Litho decided it was time to rebrand as Truprint Media it was no longer just a lithographic printer. With digital and litho printing capabilities Truprint Media was able to cater for short runs from a single copy on a digital press to long runs of over 100,000 copies on the 5 colour B2 Komori. The digital presses opened a range of services including personalised print, variable data and direct mail. Digital finishing equipment was also added to compliment digital print including creasing, perforating, booklet maker and laminators
In 2017 Truprint Media installed 2 wide format printers a 1.5 metre width 6 colour latex ink that’s fully waterproof and a 1 metre width 8 colour photo quality printer both capable of printing any length. This allows us to produce large posters, banners in pvc and mesh, pull up banners, correx boards, Dibond and much more that’s fully waterproof and fade resistant.
2020 saw the installation of a new Roland Truevis VG640 solvent printer and wide format 64”laminator. The Roland Truevis VG640 offered the latest technology when it comes to print and cut and was perfectly suited to the needs of our clients and the business. The new printheads produce near life like images by using improved vibrant inks and offer a wider colour gamut to equivalent machines. The integrated cutting technology is fast, precise, and accurate.
The new inks offer eco solvent technology, faster output whilst meeting strict environmental standards which is Greenguard and Greenguard Gold certified. With literally no waste and the 8 colours including white allowing us to print onto both dark and light transparent materials.
We have seen a lot of technical advances in print and we have always stayed ahead of the game. This allows us to be highly competitive, offer an extensive range of specialist services at the highest quality with fastest turnaround. Years ago, we would be quoting 5-7-day turnaround times. Now it is within a couple of days, same day and sometimes printing while you wait!
We may have the latest kit, but we still have a place in the factory for older ones like our Heidelberg platen that has been converted for hot foiling and die cutting.
The company remains a family business to this day and is a market leader for all your printing needs. Whether it is print ready artwork supplied, or an idea sketched on to the back of a napkin we can turn it into something to be proud of.
